The student will apply relationship-building values and the principles of team dynamics to perform effectively in different team roles to plan, deliver, and evaluate patient/population- centered care and population health programs and policies that are safe, timely, efficient, effective, and equitable.
Institutional Goals
After reviewing institution-level retention and completion rates, UAMS has adopted the following goals. These are reviewed each fall by the Institutional Assessment and Effectiveness Committee (IAEC).
One year retention rate goal: 80%
150% completion rate goal: 75%
One year retention is defined as the number of students in a defined cohort who enroll in any term during the second year of their program enrollment.
Completion is defined as the cumulative number of students graduating (out of a defined cohort group of students) at UAMS from a specified time period to a specified time period in a specified academic plan. The 150% completion rate goal means that 75% of all UAMS students will complete their program in 150% amount of the expected time. For example, a student in the PharmD program with a standard program length of 4 years will complete their program in 6 years.
Undergraduate General Education Core Competencies
UAMS does not offer general education courses so undergraduate students must complete their general education courses elsewhere and transfer to UAMS to complete their undergraduate degree. However, the UAMS undergraduate programs agreed upon the following core competencies that all undergraduate students must meet.
